Friday The 13th

Well, it's finally Friday and I'm going to start my new Chemotherapy today...very exciting!  I already took 2 pills and am going into Dr. B's office at 2pm for the IV portion...this is a new Chemo we're trying (once per week) after some more biopsies and genotyping came back with new medication that can be helpful to my healing.

I'm very optimistic and although the Doc says this time around I'm more than likely going to loose my hair, I'm excited to start the new Chemo and accelerate my healing process...who needs hair right,...it's just vanity after all, and that's why they make hats these days :-)

My plan of action:
1) To have fun with it
2) Imagine all the medicine going into my body to be helpful and good for the mind, the soul, and the body!
3) Keep hydrated
4) Heal baby HEAL!!!

LOVE

it makes me very proud to read your positiv attitude. Without doubt you will win this fight.A strategy could be to be very friendly with the enemy. Because it is in your body and a part of you. speak to him as a partner.

  9. It is now Sat Aug 14th, 2010 10am and I thought an update may be in order (psssssssst: I’ll give away the ending first – like in the movies – you see the punch-line then back up to the juicy details – com on - use your imagination, okay?) Amir & his Maman just called: both kids are happy, healthy and talking a bunch telling me what to do ;)

The new treat yesterday went well & according to the plan, Amir did well. Dr. B was there and what a likable gentle doc he is. I had not met him before and liked him bunches. His office set up was very personal, private and cozy where each patient gets her/his own private room with drinks, drugs and topless dancers (got your attention, ha!) whereas the last office was set up like a Toyota factory assembly line – all next to each other in a big big room. That was the 1st confirmation on the positive change – smile 1 :).

The lady Nurse R had such a great energy and kind heart. Aside from having been doing this ohhhhhhh, say for a tidsy bitsy bit over 30 years, she was very in tune with Mr. A needs. She was very present and smiling the whole time. That was the 2nd confirmation on the positive change – smile 2 :).

So, she hooked Mr. A up and they got started. I believe I was there just for looks – someone had to light up the room – with a bald head and all – electricity is expensive these days you know. Did I mention Mr. A had been working on and blessing his cocktails since the AM? Yes, he was setting his intention for what he wanted the juices to do and not to do in his butt … body, I mean (I didn’t say that out loud, did I ;).

  10. Since we were hitting the drinks and drugs (hey, being part of Team Amir has its privileges), we decided to play some energy games thinking may be the topless dancers would show up too. That was fun. We sent and received energy across the room to the other person’s chakra points and guessing where, what, how … sort of energy emission pick-a-boo game … Mr. A played much with a ball … AND that is a story for him to tell when/if … That was the 3rd confirmation on the positive change – smile 3 :).

After a little time, a lower back pain & discomfort hit Mr. A. Nurse R rushed in and asked him to walk around. He did and the pain lessened. Nurse R explained that as the juices enter the body, the immune system is recognizing new-bees on the block and is rushing to protect the body. Amir was in discomfort but I was all smiles inside that … hey, the immune sys is intact, working furiously and immediately to protect Amir’s butt … body, I mean (I didn’t say that out loud, did I ;) … That was the 4th confirmation on the positive change – smile 4 :).

  11. After that came … chills & shakings … and we assisted with more meditation, energy emissions and blessings. I loved the fact that Amir kicked right in to his energy work in the middle of shaking like… well, have you seen Shakira move that booty of hers fast and furiously … well she has new competition ;). Nurse R and the doc both commented “Sorry you are feeling this way but this is normal and expected. It will pass in about 30 minutes. It usually doesn’t happen this fast though. We’ll slow down the juices flowing in to give your butt (ya ya ya …) a chance to catch up.” And I heard “Your body is reacting fast cuz your spirit is so keen on healing and leading your body to health. The shaking is your body letting go of what it does not need any more – you’ll be fine soon”. We wrapped Mr. A with blankets, love and healing visions and he came around in 30. Mr. A did prefer to be wrapped with the topless dancers but it was after 5 and they had left due to union rules. A little later, came the heat wave. Mr. A’s radiator was now working overtime and we countered with cool-water paper-towel compresses for the forehead and … well, he denied his feet the pleasure … I am learning about some weird quirks about this Mr. A these days … but that’s TMI and for another post ;). By about 5pm all was back to normal, Mr. A was resting joyfully listening & meditating to “A Gift of Love” CD. I was meditating with HealingPAQ’s live radio show on the internet where I heard Daee Amean gave a shout out to Amir during the guided meditation. That was the 5th confirmation on the positive change – smile 5 :).

  12. I know I am biased BUT hey this is my comment so I get to say whatever I want … so there ;).
In conclusion, we have a very cool … quite weird at times … but a VERY cool group of friends and family around us. Your love, care, compassion and attention is felt across the land and water … thank you for what you do and who you are … it matters and it helps :).

  19. Hi Amir, this is Arash. I just heard about you and this blog. I can't imagine what your going through, but I do know one thing. You and your family are resilient and strong. Cancer has no choice but to back down with it's tail between it's legs. You are in our prayers. Let us know if you guys need anything. Also dude, don't worry about your hair. I'm bald and it's awesome.

  20. Hi Amir - I am your grandmother Pari's English tutor and she has kept me informed of your progress since the beginning. Just reading this site is inspiring - you have such a terrific attitude and so many wonderful people who care about you. I am posting this message to you from her (and these are her words, not mine).
Amirjoon, I love you so much. I am thinking of you constantly. I wish you will get your health back as soon as possible. Day and night I pray to God to give you back your health and I am sure He will help you. If there is anything you need, if there is anything I can possibly do you you know you can call me day or night. You cannot believe how much I love you!
I join her in wishing you health, strength, and a speedy and complete recovery.

  22. Afsaneh joon, Tala joon and Eamen joon,
thanks for the updates...and much great energy to you all, including R, Dr. B and Nurse R who are keeping our Amir warm and cool, medicated and meditated, with eyes, soul, heart and chakras wide open. If any of you need anything from Iran, all you need to do is ask...and Eamen joon, no light in the WORLD can compete with one that can light up a room from a crown chakra... ;)

  23. Okay, I was accused of beating RN out of writing lengthy "comments" but here we are again - some ppl never learn - do they ;).

Fri afternoon, 4.00pm, in Dr. B's suite having cocktails again. Well, Amir is and I am keeping busy meditating, writing, and keeping you all posted.

Mr. Amir is sitting in the lazy boy, actually sleeping in the lazy boy, Bobby Baby Marley is singing "Turn Your Lights Down Low" reggae tune in the background (Amir brought the R tunes) and the juices are flowing into our beloved Mr. A smoothly, slowly and side-effect-lessly (so I made that one up). No chills, no heat-ups, no shakes and no dancing girls - wait - I wanted that last one ;).

And Amir joon, this setting of intention is for you and your loving & playful 9 yr old nephew Matt - who is also HEALING his Cancer. I love what we have all learned and practice often now days - thank you Amean Joon :)

"I am a child of God living on Earth serving the Divine, myself and everyone I come in contact with.

I set my intention, at the highest level, to be the same as the Divine intention and choose to flow in the river of healing energy, love, joy, peace and compassion.

I trust in God, accept my destiny and filter every thought and emotion through this filter of love, joy, peace and compassion."

Sweet dreams Amir & Matt Joons.
