Hey Hey Hey What A Great Day!

Well, it's been a great day. I started it by driving up to Anaheim to join RN for a real estate convention which revolved around technology...part of my training to go out of my comfort zone and learn all I can. The scene was interesting, but not as interesting as the news I got from Dr. B and my scans...and (drum rolls)...my physical insides is feeling as good as my soul.

Everything is shrinking and disappearing :-) my limp nodes are back to healthy normal...my lungs are tumor free...and all my other Tumors have shrunk 33% to 66%,Yay!!!

Well with this news in my heart I called my mom, shed some tears, then grabbed RN's hand and headed straight to Disneyland...yes the happiest place on earth, to celebrate life.

Imagine this, in my DNA there's a cure for this type of cancer...imagine how I can help save lives after my healing path has come to an end...what a great path! What a great day...what a beautiful life...sharing is caring and healing is divine. I'm so happy that I can share this news with all of you.

LOVE

Things can change in a moment's notice!

We had some amazing news today. Matt started radiation on Tuesday. Wednesday he went in for a full body PET scan. The intent of the scan was to see if there were any other tumors in his body...not to measure the progress of the brain and chest lymph node. Well...this morning the nurse at MSTI Peds called and said that the PET scan was all clear. Yes, they saw the brain spots and the lymph node (these are shrinking nicely) but everywhere else is clear.

Fanastic!!!!! So...five minutes later I get a call from Dr. Dorn's nurse in the Radiology Dept. She says, "I hear you got some great news today. Do you realize what the implications are of these scan results?". I am wildly trying to figure out what she means in my brain. She goes on to say, "Matt's treatment has been changed from palliative care to Curative care! I thought you may want to know this, Richelle."

So...tears are streaming down my face and all I can think of to say is "Thank you so much, thank you so much...over and over". She went on to say that Dr. Dorn is going to extend the treatment schedule from 10 days to 18 days of radiation to really go in there and get rid of the tumor so it won't come back. If these tumors in the brain and lymph node in the chest can shrink down to nothing...he is going to high dose chemo and stem cell.

In my heart, I have never given up hope. I thank God for this good news. My heart was lighter yesterday even though I didn't know the results from the PET scan. I sort of did know in my heart. :)

I wanted to share this with all of you. Thanks so much for the love and prayers.
    Love,
    Richelle (Matt's mom, Amir's sis)

  19. Amir and Matt joon, this coming from across the world, Tehran, from my dad Parviz and myself: we are so happy to hear that you are both healing and getting back on track. Thanks for sharing. Of course when a large group of people send great vibes out to the world, it heals and heals and heals...and you can be sure that on many places on Earth these days many rocks, trees, animals, birds, water, land, people and relationships are being healed, as a result of all this great vibe and good energy...I just wish there was an easier way to get large groups of people to start sending these good energies WITHOUT someone going through what you guys have been...but, for what it's worth: thanks for going through what you have been to make this World a better place for all! ;)

and here's a little something to inspire us all (one of my favs). enjoy!
