Amir requested that no one wear black. He requested that your attire be green. Green was Amir’s color of healing. He wore a green bracelet around his right wrist for the entire 15 months he spent healing his body of cancer.

There is one more star up in the sky tonight. Even though it's far away, its brightness and warmth still reach us here to make the night a little less dark. This bright shining star will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved Amir. Afsaneh and Talla joon, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

As I live in Switzerland unfortunately I am not able to be there for the ceremony. But we decided with PJ (living in Germany) that we are wearing green on Friday and i'll but down some flowers at a place in Bremgarten where Amir lived some month with his family. We returned to this place together with Amir two years ago and i had the feeling, that this place is something special for him.
